Hm... Is it shaped like some giant "host" ?

• From what I can imagine, this thing is not meant to land on a planet, correct ?
• About the fins/wings and tails... Space is all about interstellar void, if not even more (intergalactic void and so on). Which implies any "wings" or "fins" would be just a waste of resources for such a massive creature/machine. Then there should be some other "cause" for such fins/wings to subsist with wide dimensions. Let's see... One of the big problems for a large spaceship would be to lose its heat since the void is rather insulating. Solution : enlarged cooling areas may radiate the excess of heat through IR and visible rays light.
• Problem of such large surface for a spaceship entering a stellar system : tons of static electricity. Solution might be to use the "tails" in order to force the unload of static charge into the atmosphere of some not too big planets (mostly terrestrial planet but also iced dwarfs), which also implies to wait a cool-down before safely leaving said spaceship and land on a planet.
  
• As for the green lights, would be wiser to communicate by radio waves because this wave-length won't be stopped by some random gaseous cloud, dust, etc.

Question : is this thing alive or is it a machine ? That will be determining for further reflection
